The IISTL exists as a specialist research and professional training centre within the College of Law and Criminology at Swansea University, promoting research and teaching of the highest standard in international shipping and trade law, while also fostering co-operation with other academic institutions and professional, commercial, shipping, insurance and business organisations.

This blog is intended to act as an outlet for IISTL researchers, who might wish to express their views and interests on important or trending international commercial maritime legal issues. The views and opinions expressed here are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of Swansea University.

  3. Just wanted to congratulate you for this excellent blog! The IISTL is probably the largest academic entity in the UK working on various aspects of shipping and trade law.
